Yalingbuth, Yalingbu, Yirramboi Highlights video

What an incredible evening at Coranderrk! Yalingbuth yalingbu yirramboi was a huge success — a truly moving and memorable event hosted by Wandoon Estate Aboriginal Corporation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the closure of Coranderrk Aboriginal Station in 1924.

The night brought together community, culture, and story in the most powerful way. The Ilbijerri production of CORANDERRK beautifully contextualised how the station came to be, the remarkable 1881 Parliamentary Inquiry, and its lasting legacy. Sharing these stories from yalingbuth, right where they occurred, felt exactly as it should — reclaiming the past and transforming yalingbu into a positive yirramboi.

The award-winning Mutti Mutti singer-songwriter Kutcha Edwards and his trio were absolutely sensational, bringing so much warmth and joy to the evening.

We walked away with full hearts and a wealth of learnings to carry into future events at Coranderrk. Thank you to everyone who joined us — your presence made it what it was. We can't wait to do it again.
